We stayed 3 days and we love this place!

Roger and Louise are great hosts, they live in the house so you can feel like home. In the same time you have privacy there.

The bed in our room is one of the best we ever slept 🙂 stunning view from the terrace!

House is renovated with the taste and its very clean.

We want to come back one day.

Tip: go there for more than one night (to feel the place and relax).

What a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful walks, nice clear rivers to swim in and loads of twisty motorcycle roads.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Roger has a full workshop if anyone needs. He very kindly changed my front tyre and adjusted my chain for me while there.

The whole area is magnificent.

We had a good laugh with both Roger and Louise who run the place.

Just don’t get into an argument with them on who’s going to water the plants 🤣🤣🤣

Fantastic time spent at this beautiful location in Slovenia with amazing views from the decking facing down the Baca valley.

Well appointed rooms, to a high standard.

The hosts (Roger and Louise) are great people and made our stay very enjoyable.

A wide range of activities available in the local area. We did white water rafting, zip lines down the mountains and motorbike touring, but also great for walkers/hikers, cyclists, fishing, skiing and all other outdoor pursuits or just chill out and relax.

Highly recommended.

Secure parking for bikes/motorcycles.

It is a very nice place to be in the nature. Its a beautyful house with a lovely terrace on the front. The fiew is amazing and its so quiet in the night. The room is very comfortable. Roger and Luise are very nice and help you with every question. If you are traffeling with your Motorbike Roger is the perfect guide for the lovely windy slovenian roads. If you do paragliding you are in one of the best flying spots in slovenia. We will defently come back!

We traveled by motorbike from the UK, through France, Germany, Austria and into Slovenia.
Louise and Roger were ready for our arrival and very welcoming. The guest house is extremely well appointed with a fantastic outdoor space for entertaining and the most amazing views from the decked terrace. There was secure parking for our bikes which is always a bonus.
Breakfast was good with a nice choice to suit all tastes ( including a gluten free option). Louise also provided some evening meals which were to die for and there is a bbq available too.
Bikes are available for hire should you decide to fly out rather than ride and both Roger and Louise are great guides and know the area very well. They are more than happy to take you out on organised routes with lovely places to stop for photo opportunities and lunches.
I am more than happy to recommend this lovely destination and I will certainly be returning.
Slovenia has proven to be a wonderful surprise – and this is the best bike trip into Europe I have been on !

We came in very late after hiking for ten hours! Such friendly hosts!

Louise and Roger were the nicest people.

I had rolled my ankle and they offered me homemade arnica and paracetamol to help the swelling while I slept and prepared for the following day.

It is a beautiful property and we were given a full breakfast of eggs, yogurt, cereals, fruit, coffee and juice.

We actually ended up needing to go to hospital the following day and Roger even gave us a ride into town.

Above and beyond hospitality.

We felt very cared for, as if we had known them for years.

Very kind and helpful hosts!

The place is beautiful, and the rooms are very comfortable.

The location is on a very small village, so it’s quite and calm, and the hosts helped us so that we really had all that we need and beyond!

Very recommended!!

After seeing this destination on social media, we had to book it to see if it was real!

From the moment we landed our host and tour guide Roger was exceptionally professional and Knowledgable of the area. We were briefed on the bikes, the do’s, don’ts and to have a good time! The roads, scenery and local people just keep on giving, it would be hard not to enjoy yourself here as there is definitely something for everyone.

The guest house itself is beautifully presented with views to die for. Each and every room has plenty of character and space to relax. A great continental breakfast prepared each morning was a perfect start to the day. The outdoor space is also fantastic, a decked area reaching out into the valley below was the idyllic spot for a evening drink to unwind after a great day of touring.

My opening sentence was “seeing is believing “! This guest house being run by Roger & Louise is a hidden gem, it’s now up to you all to book it to see for yourself and make memories.

We took this house for a fortnight for a first visit to Slovenia. We particularly wanted a walking holiday in the valleys and mountains, a bit of bird/nature watching and of course to visit some of the popular tourist sights. We like self catering and relaxing with a private space. Not knowing Slovenia at all choosing a base was a bit hit and miss and we were delighted by this place. The house is an old Slovene house that has been fully modernised without losing any of its charm and character. We could see that a lot of thought had gone into it. We found it spotlessly clean with the grass in the adjoining meadow trimmed and the gravel chips in the back yard had been raked so everything was presented to us very well. The back yard is a real sun trap and a great place just to sit and relax in and we were able to eat out almost every evening there enjoying the bbq, the views and the fire flies that appeared at dusk to delight us. The house gives total privacy and was fully equipped.

We were within easy driving of the hills/ mountains and gorges around Tolmin and Kobarid where there are walks of all standards and a bit further to the Bovec area where we did a couple of walks from the top of the Vrsic pass. We were in easy reach of stations enabling us to go for a day trip to Bled and to take the car on the car train to Bohinj. We drove to Predjama Castle one day to do a tourist thing. It was quite a long day but worth it. So although Hisa Brdo appears to be tucked away up a valley it really proved to be a pretty useful location although in my view a car is really essential to get the most out of a holiday in Slovenia. It was always a pleasure to come back to the house in the evening after a long day out.

It was great to know that there was an English speaking person at the end of the phone, totally familiar with Slovenia, in case we needed assistance. All in all we really enjoyed ourselves and recommend this place highly if your holiday outlook is like ours.
